war meine erste CD von Apocalyptica.

Ich bin immer auf der Suche nach neuen interessanten CDs. So stieß ich sehr früh auf Apocalyptica wie zuvor auf das 1992er Cover-Album " Die Krupps - A Tribute To Metallica " oder ich habe Nightwish schon lange vor " Once " gehört.

Die Krupps-Cover konnten mich nicht vollends überzeugen. Bei Apocalyptica war das anders; dieser Druck, diese Dynamik ... das fetzte und knallte, ein neues Hörerlebnis - ich wollte mehr!

Die Finnen legten mit " Inquisition Symphony " 1998 nach. Dieses Mal auch mit eigenen Stücken und dann kam 2000 " Cult ". Diese CD läuft in der Zeit, wo ich diese Webseite hier schreibe, nun schon das vierte Mal durch. Eine klasse Mixtur aus eigenen Stücken, Metallica-Covern und mehr. " Cult " wurde so erfolgreich, daß 2001 eine Special-Edition veröffentlicht wurde. Dafür sang zum Beispiel Sandra Nasic von den Guano Apes " Path Vol. II ", das auch als Videoclip produziert wurde, ein.

Apocalyptica arbeiteten in der Vergangenheit mit weiteren Special-Guests wie Nina Hagen (Rammstein-Cover " Seemann ") oder Marta Jandová (" Wie Weit ") von Die Happy zusammen. Auf " Reflections " saß Dave Lombardo von Slayer für einige Stücke am Schlagzeug.
